About the area: Van Damme is located in Glasgow, and chills between bookings in a quiet, secure car park that’s super easy to find whether you’re rolling in by car or hopping off public transport.

Description of Beds: Van Damme comfortably sleeps up to four – two adults can sleep cosily in the downstairs double bed and there’s space for two little child adventurers in the pop-top. Plus, you can keep the pop-top bed tucked away during the day for extra headroom and space to hang out.

Description of Seating: Van Damme’s got you covered with three belted seats up front (including the driver), all with headrests, and three more in the back, two of those with headrests too. With user-friendly controls and top-notch efficiency, the CBE system keeps your adventures charged and ready for whatever comes next.

Parking: If you’re driving to pick up Van Damme, feel free to leave your car in his usual spot. Rolling in by train? No worries, pick-up can be arranged from Blantyre Train Station.

Cooking Equipment: Van Damme has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including 4 traditional tin camping mugs, 4 melamine cups, 4 bowls, 4 large melamine dining plates, cutlery for 4, 2 melamine wine glasses, chopping boards, a whistling kettle, large and small frying pan, large and small saucepan, steamer plus other bits and bobs. It also boasts a Thetford 3 hob gas burner and oven that lets you whip up gourmet meals on the road without sacrificing space. Water and Sanitation: All the water tanks are tucked underneath the van to make the most of the space. Hot water is heated via LPG power. For extra convenience on the road, you can rent a porta potti with a tent that can be set up right beside the van.

Audio Equipment: Van Damme rocks a fully integrated sound system – sure to keep the DJ more than happy on the road.

It met all of our needs whether it was sunny beers outside under the awning in the chairs, or rainy wines whilst cosied up in the heated van with the ambient lights on. Everything in the van was clearly explained to us by Grant which made everything easy to use when it was put into practice. Van Damme is sooo comfortable to sleep on for enough room for the two of us….and our four legged son 🙄 It is clearly well looked after and small additions and pops of Grants personality are seen in the van which makes it so much more special to know you’re looking after someone’s pride and joy! We aren’t seasoned automatic drivers but Van Damme was so easy to drive and it didn’t take long to get used to the single roads and passing places of the NC500!(plus the sensors and reversing cameras helped!) It’s very very comfortable ride whether you’re the designated driver or the passenger princess! We cant big up Grant enough. From day dot he was personable, helpful and patient when we had to ask him questions! He was always poised and on hand to help if we needed it, and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were ok. He’s extremely trustworthy and just a genuinely lovely guy! And gives great recommendations! We thought this trip would be a one off bucket list adventure but instead Grant has created coddiwompling monsters out of us and we are already thinking about what to plan next!
